With last week's withdrawal of Vioxx from pharmacies and this week's news about problems with the flu vaccine supply, consumers are turning to their pharmacists more than ever for answers. As American Pharmacists Month kicks off, the American Pharmacists Association has created a toll-free number for consumers to call and get information on any pharmacy question as part of an American Pharmacists Month initiative.
The American Pharmacists Association knows all consumers have questions about our medications and how to use them. On October 12th and 19th, a toll-free hotline will be available for consumers to speak with a pharmacist about these questions. This hotline will also be ready with information about pharmacists in the consumer’s area along with the recommendation that the consumer contact their local pharmacist.
The toll-free number is: 1-877-2MY-MEDS (1-877-269-6337)
